My “Fuck Off-Piece”
Yesterday I painted a wall together with a couple of old graffiti friends. It was quite spontaneous and I started freestyling with only a vague idea in mind. In the middle of work I felt that the shape of my letters didn´t really seem to fit my idea. I got so disappointed with it then that I decided to finish it quickly with just a bubble background and white outlines and call it the "Fuck Off Piece"! Sometimes I´m that type of guy that starts looking and thinking and re-thinking about my artwork and then go on with it until I brought it to a good end, but not really this time.
Hek wanted to convince me to at least work out my outlines in a better way and do something more with the 3D, but I was not in the mood anymore. So later he did it himself on my piece.

Borderline Poetry

Dies ist eine Serie, die ich 2009 gemacht habe. Angefangen hatte es 2008 mit dem Vorhaben, mich für eine Streetart-Ausstellung in Köln zu bewerben, deren Motto lautete: "Where is your mind?"
Die Antwort darauf, die mir spontan in den Sinn kam, war: "My mind is at the borderline!"
So machte ich ein paar erste grobe Gedankenskizzen, schaffte es dann aber aus Zeitgründen nicht, mich tatsächlich für die Teilnahme an der Ausstellung zu bewerben und ließ diese Arbeit für ein Jahr lang ruhen.
Bis zu dem Zeitpunkt, da einem Menschen, der mir sehr nahe steht, das "Borderline Syndrom" diagnostiziert wurde. Nun griff ich das Thema wieder auf und entwickelte diese Serie, die ich ganz bewusst nur in schwarz-weiss mit roter Schrift hielt, um die Aussage "auf´s Maximum zu reduzieren".
I made this series in 2009. It began in 2008 with the idea to take part of an exhibition in Cologne under the motto: "Where is your mind?"
My spontaneous answer to this was: "my mind is at the borderline!"
I made a few sketches but then I didn´t have the time to engage for this exhibition, so my idea had to wait one more year for it´s realization. Then somebody who´s really close to me had the diagnosis of "Borderline Syndrome". Now I picked up this issue again and developed this series in black-and-white only with red letters to "reduce" the message "to the maximum".
