KENMOVER: Exhibition 18./19./20.11.2016
Eine Ausstellung von und über Kenmo, sein Werk und Schaffen -
vom Stylewriting-Pionier der 90er, über sakral anmutende geometrische Werke der 2000er zu Live-Performances der 2010er Jahre.
Mit Kurzfilm-Präsentation, Graffiti-Geschichte der 90er und einer Live-Performance.
Die Eröffnung findet statt am Freitag 18.11. um 20 Uhr im Bunker Admiralstraße (schräg gegenüber vom Schlachthof). Zu sehen gibt es gesammelte Werke von mir / Kenmo in Form von Skizzen, Fotos, Bildern und Videos der vergangenen 26 Jahre (ohne Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit!).
Am Samstag 19.11. gibt es zudem einige Aktionen, wie eine erneute Live-Performance mit musikalischer Begleitung von Flowin Immo um 15 Uhr am Schlachthof (zwischen Skaterpool und Schlachthofgebäude), anschließend gemeinsam rübergehen in den Ausstellungsraum, wo der Künstler erzählt von den Erfahrungen als Graffitiwriter in Bremen in den 90er Jahren, bis um ca. 17 Uhr ein Kurzfilm von Olaf Clausing präsentiert wird, der gemeinsam mit mir entstand, zu 100% auf einem Smartphone produziert wurde und vor Ort erst fertig gestellt wird!
Am Sonntag 20.11. dann ist die Ausstellung nochmals geöffnet von 15 bis 18 Uhr.

My performance at the "Closing" event of the "Komplette Palette", a project by Flowin Immo, on saturday the 24th of september.
First line translated: "I´m done!"
Second line: "I´m a walking wound".
Third line: "My life is a fundamental disappointment!"
Fourth line: "I fear the abyss".

My first solo show by the way...
RAGE!
Today I painted a wall together with Hek and Fakt. It was freezing and we had a shower of snow, but at least it wasn´t raining like all the last days. When I asked myself what to paint, I found I wanted to express emotion, specifically rage! Since this is an often suppressed and denied emotion, I think it´s good to get to know ourselves on this level and work on safely expressing it and releasing the charge involved - thus to create a safer world for all of us!
I felt it was just right to work with these bright and dark shades of red, plus using the cold cyan for the outlines. The blue in the background has already been there. The red symbolizes blood and also the root chakra, where much rage is located. The cold cyan outlines make me think of metal, they symbolize heartless borders of suppression aswell as the sword 'defending' your borders on the outside in a rage. It felt good to do all these strokes without being bound in the average idea of having to do very clear and clean outlines to my piece. The charge releases into the ground via the arrows...
